Easy Fresh Beauty Cream 18gm

A cream for dry skin in the strict sense: petrolatum and beeswax second and third, and not one water-drawing ingredient in the jar. That is a real choice, and it decides who it works for.

Description

A cream for dry skin has to do one of two very different jobs, and this one does the first. There is no glycerin, no propylene glycol and no hyaluronic acid anywhere on the list. Petrolatum is second, beeswax third.

Dry skin is short of oil. Dehydrated skin is short of water. They feel similar and they are not the same problem — which is why a face cream for dry skin that seals beautifully can still leave a dehydrated face feeling tight an hour later. The five tone ingredients underneath are the slow half of the jar, working on marks over months.

Benefits

  • Seals better than almost anything. Petrolatum is the most effective barrier ingredient there is, and here it sits second on the list.
  • Suits skin that itches from dryness. A cream for itchy skin works by stopping water loss, and an occlusive layer does that most reliably.
  • Two jobs from one step. A face cream and moisturizer with five tone ingredients folded in, so there is no separate brightening step.
  • Rich enough for the worst patches. For a cream for very dry skin, thickness is the point — the nose, the chin, anywhere flaking.
  • Eighteen grams is a face-only jar. A pea covers a face, so this is three to four months of nightly use.

Ingredients

Fourteen ingredients. Two of them are most of the jar, and one important group is missing entirely.

Petrolatum and beeswax — Positions two and three, and between them most of the texture. They sit on the surface and cut water loss dramatically.

What is not here — No glycerin, no propylene glycol, no hyaluronic acid. Nothing here draws water in, so it holds what is there rather than adding any.

Aloe vera and milk extracts — Milk is a dairy allergen, and this is a leave-on product sitting on your face all night. Worth knowing if dairy troubles your skin.

Kojic acid dipalmitate, alpha arbutin, licorice, glutathione and ascorbyl glucoside — Five tone ingredients, all low on the list. They work on the enzyme that makes pigment, and they work slowly.

One honest limitation, and it is the reason for this page. If your skin is dehydrated rather than dry — tight but not flaky, oily and tight at once — this jar alone will disappoint you. Put something water-based underneath and it becomes excellent; used alone it just sits there. The milk cream idea on the box refers to the extract at position nine, not to anything dairy doing the moisturising.

Full ingredients: Aqua, Petrolatum, Bees Wax, Vitamin B3, Lactic Acid, Kojic Acid Dipalmitate, Alpha Arbutin, Licorice Extract, Aloe Vera and Milk Extracts, Titanium Dioxide, Triethanolamine, Zinc Oxide, Glutathione & Ascorbyl Glucoside, Fragrance.

How To Use

  1. Wash and pat the skin damp, not dry. Damp skin gives an occlusive something to hold.
  2. If your skin is dehydrated, apply a water-based serum or ampoule first and let it absorb.
  3. Take a pea-sized amount and warm it between your fingertips.
  4. Press it over the face and neck rather than rubbing it in. It is thick, and pressing spreads it further.
  5. Sunscreen every morning. Lactic acid raises sun sensitivity for several days after you start.

Nights are the obvious slot because of the texture. Mornings work if you use very little and wait before makeup.

FAQs

What is the difference between dry and dehydrated skin?

Dry skin does not make enough oil — it feels rough, looks dull, flakes. Dehydrated skin does not hold enough water — it feels tight, looks crepey by evening, and happens on oily skin too. If your face is shiny by lunchtime but still tight, you are dehydrated.

Is this the best cream for dry skin?

For dryness in the strict sense, it is a strong option: petrolatum at position two is about as effective as sealing gets. For dehydration it is only half the answer. Any comparison that ignores which of the two you have will send you the wrong product.

Does it feel greasy?

Yes, initially. Petrolatum and beeswax are heavy by design. Used at night on damp skin, most of that has settled by morning. If you dislike the finish, use less than you think you need — most people apply two or three times more than a face requires, and the excess is what stays sticky.

Can I use it as an aloe vera cream for the face in the morning?

You can, with two adjustments. Use a very thin layer, and give it ten minutes before makeup or it will pill. The aloe is at position nine, so treat that as a small part of the formula rather than the reason to buy. It is a genuinely better night cream than a day one.

Is it an aloe vera moisturizing cream or a whitening cream?

Both, and neither is the lead. It is an occlusive moisturiser with five tone ingredients low on the list. The moisturising is what you will notice in the first week. The tone work — kojic acid dipalmitate, alpha arbutin, licorice, glutathione, ascorbyl glucoside — takes eight to twelve weeks before most people see anything.

Is it suitable for oily or acne-prone skin?

Probably not. Petrolatum itself does not block pores, but a heavy occlusive layer over skin that is already producing plenty of oil tends to feel unpleasant and can trap it. If your skin is oily and tight, you want hydration without the seal — a light serum will serve you better than a rich cream.

What is the best face cream for dry skin to use with this?

Nothing on top of it — it is the last step. Underneath is where the pairing happens: a water-based ampoule or serum first, this cream second. That combination covers both problems, which is what most people with genuinely uncomfortable skin actually have.

Does an 18g jar really last three months?

If you use a pea, yes — roughly ninety to a hundred nightly applications. If you scoop, six weeks. The texture encourages over-application because it does not spread easily at first, so warm it between your fingers before it touches your face.
